Safety features:
2 precision thermostats - The thermostat under the pot controls the slow cooking process and the thermostat under the lid safely regulates the high pressure cooking temperature.
The main pressure relief valve - Continuously releases excess steam and safely regulates the pressure inside the pot.
Safety Valve - Extends under steam pressure and prevents the lid lock from opening and unintentionally opening the pressurized pot. In the event of failure of the main pressure relief valve, the relief valve will extend fully and vent excess steam.
Floating Lid Seal - In the event of dangerously high pressure and failure of all other elements, pressure will escape through a special pliable seal in the lid.
Bayonet Lid Thread - A strong metal mechanism that holds the lid firmly and securely in place during cooking.
