Audio/video network switch
Ubiquiti EAV-Fiber is a managed switch for audio and video applications, combining
24 10G PoE+++ ports
with
4 100G QSFP28 uplinks
. This configuration makes it easier to build high-performance infrastructure in environments where high bandwidth, tidy cabling and support for demanding data sources matter. Its 1U design and SGCC steel enclosure make it suitable for rack installation, while the built-in LCM display helps you monitor the device’s operation.
Key benefits
-
24 10G PoE+++ ports
– let you power and connect devices on a single infrastructure.
-
4 100G QSFP28 uplinks
– make it easy to connect the switch to a faster part of the network.
-
PTP, SMPTE ST 2110 and AES67
– support media synchronisation in audio/video applications.
-
1,280 Gbps switching capacity
– helps handle heavy traffic across an extensive network.
-
Hot-swappable power supplies and fans
– reduce downtime during servicing.
-
1U design and SGCC enclosure
– simplify rack installation and day-to-day integration.
Power and redundancy
The device provides a maximum PoE output of up to
2,150W
with a
200-240V AC
power supply, offering plenty of scope for working with devices that require more power. Both power supplies and all four fans are hot-swappable, so you can carry out routine maintenance without stopping the entire network. This solution is ideal where uninterrupted operation and convenient servicing in an installation rack are important.
Synchronisation and media traffic
This switch supports
PTP
,
SMPTE ST 2110
,
SDVoE
and
AES67
, enabling precise signal synchronisation in audio and video environments. Combined with
IGMP
configuration and multicast/broadcast bandwidth limiting, it helps organise network traffic when multiple devices and streams are running simultaneously. This is particularly important in installations where controlling the media being transmitted is essential.
Layer 3 and management
The model supports
L2/L3
operation, as well as
1,000 VLANs
and
512 static IPv4 routes
. This configuration lets you divide traffic into logical segments and organise the network more effectively in larger installations. It also includes features such as DHCP server, DHCP relay, DHCP guarding and DHCP snooping, making administration and address management easier in business or integration environments.
Performance and capacity
The switch offers
640 Gbps non-blocking throughput
, a
forwarding rate of 810 Mpps
and a
32,000 MAC address
table. It also supports Jumbo Frames, flow control, port mirroring and traffic rate limiting, helping keep things organised during intensive data transfers. In practice, you can distribute traffic between devices more effectively and manage a larger number of connections more efficiently.
