Nokian 225/55R17 HAKKEPLIITTA R5 101R XL

Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5. FEATURES AND BENEFITS: Winter-weather performance; Enhanced controllability; Fuel-efficient performance; Comfortable driving experience. OVERVIEW: The Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5 is a touring, winter tire made for passenger vehicles and SUVs.The directional tread pattern and its close road contact boost steering responsiveness and driving stability. In other words, this increases the steering response time and accuracy to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against driving pressure. At the same time, large shoulder elements and the strong road grip upgrade cornering. These elements improve overall controllability and maneuvering, which enhances the driver's control over the vehicle.Excellent winter-weather traction is also promoted with this tread pattern and the winter compound. In this manner, the directional tread pattern can easily maintain road contact in winter conditions. Also, the special compound keeps the rubber flexible in freezing temperatures. These elements work together to improve performance on ice- and snow-covered road surfaces. On the other hand, large grooves eliminate water and slush from the footprint, preventing hydroplaning in wet situations. The model is fuel-efficient. This directional tread pattern and the special rubber compound can reduce the rolling resistance. The rolling resistance is the pressure that determines how much energy the vehicle needs to keep the tires in motion. It can decrease fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, for a fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly driving experience. The Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5 boosts driving comfort levels. The tread design is able to reduce road and tread noise significantly. The pattern channels airwaves through the footprint, preventing them from coming into contact with tread elements and generating noise. This tread allows the passengers to enjoy a quiet performance. Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
