The batteries use Li-ion technology (INR type) with a nominal voltage of 3.7 V, a maximum charging voltage of 4.2 V and a capacity of 5000 mAh (18.5 Wh) per cell. The use of Li-ion batteries means not only higher performance but also significant cost savings compared to disposable AA batteries. With regular use, the savings can exceed 70% per year, and with a lifetime of up to 800 charge cycles, the investment is quickly recouped.
