Front disc brake Shimano GRX ST-RX820+BR-RX820, 2 speeds A reliable braking system with plenty of power reserve is a central concern for gravel track riders. The new Shimano GRX ST-RX820 STI 2-speed with BR-RX820 Flat-Mount caliper for hydraulic disc brakes features superior stopping power to maintain control on steep, challenging or even surprising descents. For your riding freedom: the Shimano Gravel GRX STI Dual Control ST-RX820 + BR-RX820 2-speed disc brake Gravel cycling shouldn't be too complicated. The heart and soul of cycling, the discipline of riding on unpaved roads, is simplicity, inclusivity and adventure. No ride is excluded. All are welcome. Equipment should be functional and reliable, but need not be expensive. That's why whether you're a seasoned gravel bike veteran or a complete newcomer to the roads (or trails) less traveled, you'll appreciate the latest version of Shimano's groundbreaking - and industry-first - GRX component kit. Designed to help you get the most out of your next unpaved adventure, the RX820 delivers top performance at an exorbitant price. For riders looking for the best of both worlds, the new 2x12 RX820 UNDROPPABLE drivetrain is the right choice. Featuring a 48/31 drivetrain optimized for gravel biking and an 11-34 or 11-36 cassette, this setup offers an ultra-wide gear range so you can enjoy a comfortable cadence whether you're cruising the flats, crushing endless rollers on unpaved roads or taking on the hills of the off-road. This setup delivers precise mechanical shifting front and rear and integrated SHADOW PLUS chain stabilization for maximum safety over bumpy terrain. The gravel-specific 2x12 option keeps the rear cassette gearing tighter, ideal for subtle cadence changes during competitive races and spirited weekend group rides. And the 2x12 setup mates seamlessly with most existing 700c bikes by using HG's proven freehub body design. Along with this set of gearing options optimized for gravel cycling are the new ST-RX820 brake/shift levers. Specifically designed for use with the extended handlebars that are a staple of gravel cycling, the new lever body features a non-slip texture on the top and dramatically improved ergonomics to reduce pressure on your hands. Together, these changes increase comfort and handling so you can tackle challenging terrain with confidence or focus on the undulating gravel road ahead. The new GRX brake levers feature Shimano's Dual Control system with lightweight and responsive mechanical 12-speed shifting. While the left lever of the 2x12 GRX groupset provides unmatched smooth Shimano front derailleur shifting, the new 1x12 groupsets include two options for the left lever: a brake-only model and a telescopic seatpost-specific model that seamlessly integrates braking and telescopic seatpost control for quick and easy operation.
