Keep track of who enters your home every day
The EVOLVEO DoorPhone AHD7 Plus is a modern color video intercom designed to monitor entry to a house, apartment, office, or small business. The system consists of a 7" touchscreen indoor monitor and an outdoor camera unit with an RFID reader. In everyday use, you can easily check on visitors, delivery people, neighbors, or unexpected activity at the gate without having to go outside.
The video doorphone allows you to monitor the area in front of the door, engage in two-way voice communication, and control an electric door lock or gate. It is therefore suitable not only for single-family homes but also for offices, business premises, or smaller commercial buildings where you need to control access while conveniently communicating with the person at the door or gate.
RFID Access System for Convenient Keyless Entry
The outdoor unit includes a 125 kHz RFID reader, which allows for convenient unlocking by simply holding an RFID card or chip up to the reader. The system supports up to 24 RFID cards, so it can be used by household members, employees, property managers, or other regular users. In practice, this means children don’t have to carry a traditional key, employees can enter the premises using an assigned card, and the owner has better control over who is granted access.
RFID access is also practical in situations where you don’t want to hand out traditional keys to other people. For example, you can assign a card to a family member, a neighbor, a building manager, or a service provider who performs regular maintenance. If a card is lost, it can be removed from the system and replaced with another one, which is more convenient for everyday use than replacing keys or lock cylinders.
7" Touchscreen Monitor as the Home Communication Hub
The indoor unit is equipped with a 7" TFT LCD capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1024 × 600 px. The monitor serves as a clear control center for the entire system—it displays the video feed from the outdoor unit, allows you to answer calls, communicate with visitors, open the door or gate, and view recorded footage. Thanks to its touchscreen controls, it’s easy to use even for everyday household operations.
When a visitor rings the doorbell, the monitor displays a live feed from the outdoor camera. The user can decide whether to answer the call, open the door, open the gate, or end the call. You’ll appreciate this, for example, in the evening, when working from home, or in situations where you don’t want to open the door to a stranger without first seeing them.
Remote Access via Wi-Fi and the Tuya App
The AHD7 Plus supports Wi-Fi connections on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The network connection enables advanced system features and remote access via the Tuya Smart / Smart Life mobile app. The video doorbell’s basic functions are available even without an internet connection, but once connected to Wi-Fi, you can answer calls, view the camera feed, communicate with visitors, and control the lock using your smartphone.
In practice, this means that when a delivery person rings the doorbell and you’re not right in front of the monitor, you can answer the call on your phone. The phone’s screen will display the video feed from the outdoor unit, allowing you to speak with the visitor and open the door as needed. In addition, the device can be shared with up to 20 users, including the administrator, so multiple household members or authorized individuals can have access to the app.
Full HD Outdoor Unit with Metal Housing and IP65 Rating
The outdoor unit is made of a durable metal alloy and has an IP65 rating, making it suitable for outdoor installation at a door, gate, or building entrance. It is equipped with a 2Mpx CMOS camera with a video resolution of 1920 × 1080 px Full HD and still image resolution of up to 2048 × 1152 px. The horizontal field of view is approximately 130°, which helps provide better coverage of the area in front of the entrance.
The unit includes IR illumination for night vision, a microphone, a speaker, a doorbell button, a status LED, and tamper protection against unauthorized tampering. This makes it suitable for general outdoor use at single-family homes and small businesses. During installation, it is recommended to mount it at a height of approximately 1.4 to 1.7 m, away from direct sunlight or prolonged direct rain.
Reliable 4-wire connection up to 50 meters
The system uses a 4-wire connection between the indoor monitor and the outdoor unit. Video, audio, power, and control signals are transmitted over this cable. The outdoor unit does not require a separate power supply, as it is powered directly by the system. This is particularly practical for single-family homes where you want a stable wired solution that does not rely on a wireless signal between the monitor and the outdoor unit.
The recommended maximum distance between the monitor and the outdoor unit is up to 50 meters, depending on the quality of the cabling. For shorter distances, thinner cabling can be used; for longer runs, it is necessary to select conductors with an appropriate cross-sectional area. This makes the system suitable both for new construction, where cables can be installed in advance, and for retrofitting older doorbells or audio intercoms.
Control of Doors, Gates, and a Second Exit
The video intercom allows you to control an electric door lock via the outdoor unit, as well as control a gate or a second exit via the monitor. The outdoor unit supports connection to an electric lock with a voltage of 12 V and a maximum current of 1 A. In practice, this means you can first verify who is at the entrance via the monitor or the app, and then open the door or gate.
This feature is very practical for homes with fenced-in property, a long driveway, or an entrance that is out of direct sight. You can open the gate for a delivery person, the door for a visitor, and, at a business entrance, conveniently let a customer or supplier in without having to stop working.
Recording to a microSD Card and Digital Photo Frame
The monitor supports saving photos and video recordings to a microSD card with a capacity of up to 512 GB. Recordings can be triggered during a call, while monitoring, or upon motion detection. This allows users to review who rang the doorbell, when a visitor arrived at the door, or what happened at the entrance while they were away. Video is saved in H.264 format and photos in JPEG format.
In standby mode, the monitor can also function as a digital photo frame. You can save your own images to the memory card, and the monitor can display them when the system is not in active use. Thanks to this, the indoor unit doesn’t just look like a technical device on the wall, but can blend naturally into your home’s interior.
