The biggest source of error in espresso preparation is uneven tamping pressure. The Flash Tamper 2.0 solves this mechanically: a system of three springs maintains a constant force of 30 lbs (approx. 13.6 kg) regardless of who holds the tool. When the correct pressure is reached, a distinct "click" is heard – feedback that eliminates guessing or relying on feel.\

The second generation features a redesigned internal construction and a new, flat 58 mm base. The flat profile provides a classic, even tamp across the entire surface of the puck and reduces coffee residue at the edge of the basket. The working stroke is 15 mm, and the mechanism resets automatically after each tamp.

The handle combines walnut wood with aluminum alloy and SUS304 stainless steel – it is polished, shaped for the hand, and set at a 90° angle, which helps maintain a vertical alignment. The tamper can be disassembled and the spring replaced: the set includes an additional 15 lbs spring for baristas who prefer a lighter tamp, along with a mounting pin and instructions.
