Why microplastics are a problem and how we can prevent them
Microplastics are tiny pieces of plastic, so tiny that we can't see them. They are created, for example, by rubbing tyres, washing synthetic clothes or the breakdown of larger plastics. Huge amounts of them enter the environment - up to 700,000 plastic fibres can come off in just one wash. Microplastics are then found in both tap water and bottled water. A study shows that bottled water can contain an average of around 10 plastic particles per litre. Because they are so small, they enter our bodies when we drink, eat and breathe, and each person ingests tens of thousands of them each year. Microplastics are dangerous mainly because they can accumulate and carry various harmful substances in the body. It is therefore a good idea to limit their intake as much as possible, for example by filtering them out of the water.


The power of two filters in one water jug you can trust
An indispensable part of every filter kettle is the patented Bi-flux® filter cartridge with its advanced 5-stage technology. One cartridge can filter up to 150 litres of tap water, the equivalent of about 100 regular PET bottles. The Bi-flux filter effectively removes chlorine, possible herbicides, pesticides, heavy metals and other chemical impurities from the water. It also improves the taste and smell of the water, reduces limescale and softens the water. It is therefore ideal not only for direct drinking, but also for food preparation, where the purity and quality of the water become even more apparent.

The second part of the filtration system is the special MikroPLASTIK-STOP™ filter, also developed and manufactured in Italy. Its advanced technology can capture even very small microplastic particles from 0.1 µm, removing more than 99.5% of these impurities. For larger particles, i.e. with a diameter of 1 µm or more, it achieves an efficiency of up to 99.99%. It has a service life of up to 1000 litres of water or one year of use. Once this capacity is reached, the filter pores automatically close and stop letting water through, giving you the assurance that you are always drinking perfectly clean and safe water from a filter that is working at 100%.
