Conexpro UTP cable category 5E is designed for internal distribution of structured cabling. The cable allows data transmission at speeds up to 1 Gbps (1000 Base-T). The sheath is grey in colour, without shielding and made of PVC material. The conductors have an aluminium core and are coated with a layer of copper, called CCA, with a total cross section of AWG24. The cable is packed in a high-quality cardboard box with a modern design and is marked after each meter from 0 to 305 m.
What does CCA stand for?
CCA is a new data cable technology with a copper coated aluminium core. It brings the benefits of copper at a lower cost and the economy of limited copper supplies. The limited skin effect affects its conductivity, precluding use for POE installations. The quality of CCA cables depends on a balanced copper content.
