Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 for Nintendo Switch will offer a host of improvements:
Enhanced graphics for both titles
Assist Mode to help players on their journey to complete these adventures. Play with more health, heal by simply standing still, and return to solid ground if you fall into space. You can turn this mode on and off whenever you want.
Enjoy the next chapter of Rosalina's picture book in Super Mario Galaxy and discover a whole new story in the picture book in Super Mario Galaxy 2.
Listen to the soundtrack from both games directly from the main menu. There are 154 songs in total!

A free update will be available for Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2 on the Nintendo Switch 2 console! Enjoy both games in 4K resolution in TV mode or in 1080p in Handheld and Tabletop mode.

Blast off into space and experience what it's like when gravity itself doesn't apply! Explore planets, reclaim Grand Stars and travel the universe in Comet Observatory to stop Bowser from creating his own galaxy.

One night under the stars...
It's Star Festival night and Star Bits are falling from the sky! As the entire Mushroom Kingdom celebrates, Bowser attacks out of nowhere and takes both the castle and Princess Peach into space. But Mario gets stuck in orbit...
Mario is soon rescued by a curious star child named Luma, who gets him to the Comet Observatory - home of a mysterious woman named Rosalina. Together, they embark on a journey across the stars to rescue Princess Peach and stop Bowser's evil plan!

Welcome to the galaxy!
From the various domes of the Comet Observatory, you can travel to nearby galaxies with all sorts of unique properties. The more Power Stars you get, the more galaxies you can visit - so head to as many as you can!

Space Abilities
Use Mario's reliable jumping abilities and Lum's power to overcome any obstacles that stand in your way. Fly through space with Launch Stars, collect Star Bits and run around planets in search of Power Stars.
Collect special power-ups for Mario and watch him change and gain all kinds of powers! These will help him get through every galaxy like a knife through butter!


Super Mario Galaxy 2

Return to space with Mario and Yoshi!
Enter a new universe full of adventure beyond the stars! Climb aboard Starship Mario and set off to discover more galaxies, new abilities, and even more gravity-defying fun.

A new story about stardust
The Star Festival has just begun! Mario heads to the castle to celebrate with Princess Peach, but meets young Luma, who quickly falls in love with him. They venture on, but they're in for a nasty surprise...
Bowser is back to cause even more trouble, and this time he's HUGE! With Princess Peach in captivity, he flies off to the center of the universe, leaving Mario without her. Now it's up to Mario and Lum to go after him and use the power of the stars to stop Bowser again!

All aboard Starship Mario!
Is that spaceship shaped like... Mario's head?! It already looks like one! Lubba will accompany you on your journeys to the stars, and together with her crew of Space Lumas, you'll visit a variety of galaxies. Each one offers its own unique challenges to face, and plenty of Power Stars to reclaim!

Soar among the stars
Run, jump, spin! Use all of the main character's abilities to explore each galaxy, destroy enemies and overcome obstacles. Then hop on Yoshi's back and use his long tongue to pick fruit, munch on opponents or even swing!
By acquiring special power-ups, Mario can transform and gain new abilities. With them, exploring and defeating enemies will be even more fun! He can be joined by Yoshi with his special fruit that will grant him extraordinary abilities!
