The Sunnylife filter set for the Osmo Pocket 4 and Osmo Pocket 3 combines four functions in three elements: a 1/4 Black Mist + VND2-32 hybrid filter, an adjustable CPL filter, and an MCUV protective filter. This combination allows you to simultaneously control exposure, reduce light reflections, give your shots a more cinematic look, and protect the camera lens from dirt and scratches. It’s a practical solution for creators working in a variety of lighting conditions—from outdoor landscapes to dynamic footage and portraits.
The 1/4 Black Mist & VND2-32 hybrid filter allows you to smoothly adjust the amount of light reaching the lens within a range of 1 to 5 f-stops (EV), making it easy to fine-tune exposure without having to change the filter. It reduces glare, helps prevent overexposure, and enhances color saturation, making it ideal for outdoor photography and videography. Additionally, the 1/4 Black Mist coating gently softens the image, reduces digital sharpness, and creates a pleasant, slightly hazy visual texture.
The adjustable CPL filter allows you to adjust the polarization angle by rotating the ring, effectively reducing unwanted light reflections from surfaces such as water or glass. It also helps increase contrast and color saturation, emphasizing the blue of the sky, the white of the clouds, and the detail in landscapes. The MCUV filter additionally protects the front of the lens from scratches and dirt and helps reduce the blue and bluish-gray tint in images caused by ultraviolet radiation.
The filters are made of optical glass with high light transmittance, which preserves the natural colors and detail of the captured images. A multi-layer protective coating enhances resistance to water, grease, stains, and scratches, making it easier to keep the filter surfaces clean. Slim frames made of CNC-machined aluminum alloy ensure durability and do not interfere with the gimbal’s rotation or folding.
The magnetic mounting system allows you to quickly attach or remove the filter from the lens, ensuring convenient adjustments while recording. The stable mount ensures the filter stays securely in place, and the light weight of just 1 g per filter does not significantly affect the comfort of using the camera.
