Functioning of sand filtration:
The ProStar Profi 4 (formerly BlackStar 4) sand filtration system is inspired by nature - here, too, rainwater is turned into crystal clear spring water by filtration in permeable rock layers. In sand filtration, the water passes through silica sand, where even fine impurities are trapped and only clean, filtered water is returned to the pool. It is therefore important to rinse the filter sand frequently to prevent dirt from settling in the sand. We recommend rinsing the filtration at least once a week.

Composition and description:
The ProStar Profi 4 sand filtration system consists of a filter container that holds 20 kg of filter sand. The container is made of high quality polypropylene (PP) and is seamless, corrosion resistant and resistant to common pool chemicals.
The filtration is equipped with a drain valve, pressure gauge, built-in components of the filtration vessel including an easy-to-use 6-way valve (which is built into the lid of the filtration vessel), 250W pump motor, plastic base for on-site installation. The system is manufactured from high quality materials in strict compliance with technical standards and passes an output control.

As standard, the sand filtration is supplied without filter sand and hoses. If you do not have these products, we recommend that you purchase them together with the sand filtration.
