For more than thirty years MET has been making helmets for the best in cycling. With each generation we learn, improve and develop our products to be faster, lighter and more comfortable. Enhanced for use in the peloton, the MET Trenta Mips helmet is a performance road helmet designed to maximize ventilation and conserve your energy with every pedal stroke.
The MET Trenta Mips helmet features the MIPS-C2® rotational control system and is able to glide against your head in the event of a crash, redirecting harmful rotational motion. MIPS is a brain protection system designed to add protection to standard helmet designs in the event of certain impacts. The MIPS Brain Protection System (BPS) is mounted inside the helmet, between the comfort padding and the EPS foam.
Originally developed by NACA, the predecessor of NASA, the placement of this input on the front of the helmet has a cooling effect. It uses the power of the Venturi effect - the valve forces warm air inside the helmet out through specially placed outlets. This ensures a constant flow of air through the helmet without trapping wind and creating drag, achieving the maximum level of comfort during the longest rides on the road or on your gravel bike.
The MET Trenta's rear, tubular helmet section, enhanced for peloton use, and internal air routing ensure the helmet has the best performance when riding in a group and offers up to a 7% reduction in aerodynamic drag compared to a traditional road helmet. It has a lower profile at the rear that works in conjunction with the front NACA valve and rear deflector to effectively manage airflow.
