The lights are controlled by a switch on the back of the helmet and can either be permanently on or flashing. In addition, the helmet can be connected to any bluetooth-enabled mobile phone and thanks to the built-in stereo speakers using bone-conduction audio, you can safely enjoy your favourite music while riding and still hear all the hustle and bustle of your surroundings perfectly. Then there's a microphone on the chin strap for convenient hands-free phone calls while riding.

Important features of Safe-Tec helmets include LED strips on the front (white light) and back (red light). The modern LEDs not only function as safety lighting for the cyclist (light and flashing capability), but can also be used as dynamic directional lights in the event of a turn (amber light front and rear). Control of the lights is simply done with the wireless remote control, which is easily attached to the handlebars thanks to the supplied bracket. Another safety feature is the hard braking function, whereby as soon as a hard braking occurs, the rear LEDs will automatically start flashing red to alert the rider behind you of potential danger.
