The tread pattern of the Cinturato Gravel S applies the main technical solutions adopted for the best soft terrain tyres designed for mountain bikes and motocross: the lugs are high and widely spaced, the central section is directed along the direction of rotation so that the speed is still good enough for riding on gravel, the lateral section is more aggressive to penetrate the terrain and create excellent traction in all conditions.



The properties of the new SpeedGRIP rubber compound are suited to all weather conditions, regardless of whether the terrain is dry or wet. The new compound retains the same polymer matrix as the mountain bike specific SmartGRIP compound, improving rolling performance.



Reinforced casing construction with a layer of woven fabric placed circumferentially from bead to bead, complemented by aramid beads for tubeless-ready use, are optimized for modern wide rims. Cinturato Gravel S offers an extremely high level of puncture protection and a new level of performance in terms of rolling resistance and grip. As well as great reliability - a core element of the Pirelli Cinturato brand.

Pirelli has created a tyre construction that combines know-how under the armour tech label with features developed for MTB off-road use. The design and its components

have features that allow them to resist damage (e.g. punctures from sharp objects or stones): an added layer of highly puncture-resistant material covers the area from bead to bead without reducing the tyre's rolling efficiency or handling quality. As a result, it can be used on lighter gravel surfaces as well as in difficult terrain conditions.



SpeedGRIP

Pirelli has developed a proprietary rubber compound that enables better performance and energy transfer with less effort when driving on asphalt, gravel or more aggressive terrain. The SpeedGRIP compound achieves the same durability as its MTB sibling (SmartGRIP), as well as the same high level of wet grip and allows for more efficient energy transfer to reduce rolling resistance to a level similar to pure road racing tyres. This high-tech rubber compound is the product of experience gained from the world of off-road racing circuits around the world, where Pirelli has a firm place on both 2- and 4-wheel vehicles.

The result is a compound with two diametrically opposed characteristics:

- puncture resistance: maximum mechanical grip in dry conditions with improved durability and puncture resistance.
