The Pirelli developers have developed the P Zero™ Race TLR SL tyre with the needs of professional racers in mind, and have therefore tuned the performance parameters to an even higher level. This lightweight and fast tyre takes advantage of the key benefits of tubeless technology in a product designed for racing applications, with an emphasis on speed and handling. The tyre's performance characteristics exceed all previous Pirelli tyres in this category, time trial and lightweight galoshes not excluded, while puncture resistance is not compromised thanks to the TechWALL braided construction. After three years of development in collaboration with the fastest riders on the World Tour circuit, including the 2019 UCI Champion and World Champion, Pirelli has succeeded in designing this new tubeless-ready tyre with the new SmartEVO rubber compound, offering professional cyclists and all cycling enthusiasts alike the best racing tyre from Pirelli ever!

SmartEVO rubber compound

The latest generation of smart polymer compound to achieve maximum grip with low rolling resistance.

The new SmartEVO rubber compound uses a blend of 3 different polymers, each providing specific performance qualities to achieve an optimum balance of opposing properties such as grip and rolling resistance. Pirelli has used its knowledge and experience of over 100 years in the development of rubber compounds for motorsport, where these products have always been used in top level racing in all disciplines. This extensive knowledge from the development and racing departments has enabled Pirelli to create a triple polymer compound with "smart" performance properties for bicycle tyres and forms the basis for the outstanding characteristics of the SmartEVO compound - improved dry and wet grip, while at the same time reducing rolling resistance. Pirelli has created a performance rubber compound designed and tuned for all modern road cycling disciplines, from local or World Tour races to epic adventures where the climate and varied surfaces demand tyres that perform reliably at the highest level in all circumstances.
