Pirelli P ZERO™ Race RS TLR 32-622, SpeedCORE, SmartEVO, 120tpi, Black
RACE PERFORMANCE - 16% LOWER ROLLING RESISTANCE AND 8% LOWER WEIGHT COMPARED TO P ZERO RACE TLR
Speed - Handling - Grip
The P ZERO™ Race TLR RS is the latest model in the P ZERO™ Race line of Italian-made road racing tyres. It has been developed in collaboration with professional athletes from Pirelli's World Tour teams to provide superior speed and grip compared to any other tyre ever created by Pirelli. This achievement is made possible by the new SmartEVO2 rubber compound, formulated with the know-how and latest materials used in motorsport, which guarantees further improvements in grip and handling on both dry and wet surfaces. In addition, the patented SpeedCORE™ carcass structure has also been lightened, featuring a thin, hermetic rubber layer enriched with aramid particles. The combination of these factors has created a performance tire that is even faster for racers, but also for those who want to benefit from the same technology as the pros.
Starting with today's stage of the 107th Giro d'Italia (Tour of Italy), the Lidl- Trek World Tour team has officially adopted this new tyre. The U.S. men's and women's teams have raced with this tire since the beginning of the season (with the Pirelli #prototype designation) and have already racked up over 70 podium finishes, including 2nd place in the Strade Bianche and Women's Strade Bianche, 2nd place in Liege-Bastogne-Liege Femmes, as well as 2nd and 3rd place in Paris-Roubaix Femmes and Paris-Roubaix.
The P ZERO™ Race TLR RS is the latest evolution of the P ZERO Race tyres produced at Pirelli's Milan-Bollate plant. This new product ranks at the top of Pirelli's high-performance road tyre range and has been designed and developed specifically for racing. The new tyre has a strong "racing" spirit; focusing on all-weather grip as well as excellent handling under braking, acceleration and cornering, very low rolling resistance and lower weight.
It has improvements in key areas:
- The patented SpeedCORE™ technology incorporates a thin layer of rubber compound with aramid particles, which has reduced the structure and overall thickness of the tire, thereby reducing rolling resistance.
- The SmartEVO2 compound has been improved in terms of speed and grip with our new Made in Italy manufacturing processes. This increases handling, precision, and wheel control in both dry and wet conditions.
- The new TLR bead design provides better compliance and air retention, making it suitable for modern rims, including hookless ones, made to ETRTO and ISO standards.

TECHNOLOGY
SmartEVO2 rubber compound
The new SmartEVO2 compound represents the latest advancement in high-performance racing rubber, perfected by incorporating Pirelli's experience of motorsport at the highest level and the demands of modern World Tour racing. Developed from a SmartEVO blend of three polymers with 'smart' properties, it uses new materials and innovative compounding processes now possible in Pirelli's own production plant in Italy, located near Pirelli's global research and development centre. This has resulted in improved overall grip, particularly on wet surfaces, and a reduction in rolling resistance to record levels for its category. The performance and handling feel of the bike is raised to the level demanded by the fastest World Tour riders.
SpeedCORE
The highest-performance road tubeless-ready tire construction in Pirelli's lineup, with a unique design that adds an aramid belt to the tire's rubber underbody. This new structure not only adds strength and support to the tire carcass, but also maintains a supple feel for minimal rolling resistance and maximum grip when riding compared to a full aramid tire from rim to rim. The tire construction also incorporates 120tpi nylon fabric for added puncture protection and maximum safety.
- SpeedCORE is a new patented technology.
- SpeedCORE is exclusive to the new PZERO Race TLR.
- SpeedCORE is the choice of factory teams in the World Tour.
