Tubes Pirelli P ZERO SmarTUBE 23/32-622 Presta 42mm



SmarTUBE is Pirelli's latest product in the tube category and is a continuation of Pirelli's commitment to improving performance in modern cycling. It is the result of the development of the galus for the World Tour, where the technology was transferred and adapted for use by regular cyclists with tires and inner tubes. The new inner tubes are made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), saving you around 70% of the weight of conventional inner tubes and taking up 50% less space in your pockets. They are also more durable than pure butyl inner tubes. Tubes are available in a wide range of sizes: road (P ZERO SmarTUBE), reinforced Gravel and Endurance variants (Cinturato SmarTUBE), and MTB (Scorpion SmarTUBE).

SmarTUBE tubes have two significant advantages over butyl tubes: they reduce rotating mass where it shows up the most (wheels), so your bike will be more lively with better acceleration, and they will help you achieve better handling and speed on climbs. Second, tubes save space in your pockets (or panniers and backpack) so you can fill that space with other power sources and ride longer.

As an added bonus, the reinforced Cinturato SmarTUBE model has improved the excellent properties of the TPU material for benefits on both sides of the spectrum: double the puncture resistance of standard butyl inner tubes, while being lightweight and compact when collapsed like a belay. Choose them to save weight or space and they'll also give you greater puncture resistance, plus they come in Pirelli's racing yellow colour.
