The NEEWER Z880-N is an advanced photojournalism flash designed for Nikon photographers who demand high power, fast performance, and full control over lighting. The model offers 76Ws of power and a guide number of GN60, supports HSS synchronization up to 1/8000 s, and features automatic i-TTL mode, making it ideal for news photography, portraits, and dynamic outdoor shoots. The high-capacity 2600 mAh battery allows for approximately 480 full-power flashes, and the fast recycling time of about 1.5 seconds helps capture the most important moments without unnecessary delays. Users also have access to an LED modeling light, a 2.4G Q System wireless system, and a wide range of head adjustments and a 20-200 mm zoom.
The flash is equipped with a powerful 76Ws flash system and a guide number of GN60, allowing you to effectively illuminate scenes even in challenging lighting conditions. A short flash duration ranging from 1/180 s to 1/20000 s makes it easy to freeze motion, and a fast recycling time of approximately 1.5 seconds allows for comfortable work during photojournalism, events, or wedding photography. The adjustable zoom range of 20–200 mm can be automatically or manually adjusted to the lens currently in use, resulting in better light coverage and greater control over the frame. HSS synchronization up to 1/8000 s additionally allows for shooting with a wide-open aperture even in full sunlight.
The NEEWER Z880-N offers extensive operating modes, making it suitable for both beginners and more demanding photographers. The automatic i-TTL mode handles intelligent light metering and allows for exposure compensation within a range of ±3 EV. Manual mode enables precise power adjustment from 1/1 to 1/256, giving you full control over the lighting characteristics. There is also an RPT mode, which allows you to create creative stroboscopic effects with a frequency of up to 199 Hz and a maximum of 100 flashes in a single sequence. An additional convenience is the TCM function, which allows you to quickly transfer settings from TTL mode to manual mode with a single click.
The built-in 2.4G Q System allows you to control the flash wirelessly from a distance of up to 100 meters. The model supports 32 channels and 99 IDs, which helps prevent interference when working with multiple flashes simultaneously. The Z880-N can function as both a transmitter and a receiver, working with other NEEWER devices such as the Z1, Z2, NW760, Z760, Q3, Q4, and S101 PRO. An extensive group system allows for convenient management of lighting configurations during more advanced studio and outdoor sessions. Support for S1 and S2 modes additionally allows the use of a photocell for synchronization with other light sources.
The lamp’s design is optimized for convenient light reflection and creative work. The head can rotate from 0° to 330° and tilt from -7° to 120°, which significantly simplifies directing the flash at the correct angle. The built-in LED modeling light with 10 brightness levels allows you to quickly assess the light distribution before taking the photo. A retractable diffuser and reflector are also available to help achieve softer and more natural light during portrait photography. A clear LCD screen with a refreshed interface ensures convenient access to settings even during intensive use.
The removable 7.4V lithium battery with a capacity of 2600 mAh provides approximately 480 full-power flashes, making the flash ideal for longer sessions without the need for frequent recharging. The current battery level can be checked at any time on the LCD screen. The model is compatible with many Nikon cameras, including the Z series and DSLRs such as the Z9, Z8, Z6 II, Z7 II, D850, D780, and D7500. The plastic housing maintains relatively compact dimensions and a weight of 547 g, making it easy to transport and use on the go.
