A product to increase the pH value of the water in a whirlpool.

Appearance and composition:
Fine white powder. Contains sodium carbonate (100 %), index number: 011-005-00-2.

Action:
Used to raise the pH value in a whirlpool bath. The bathing water should have a pH value between 6,8 and 7,2, within this range the most effective action of the oxygen preparations is guaranteed without side effects.

Instructions for use and dosage:
Check the pH value at least twice a week and immediately regulate deviations from the ideal value (especially before adding oxygen preparations). A pH value > 7.2 can cause milky turbidity (calcium precipitation) in the water, reduce the effectiveness of the oxygen agents, cause eye and skin irritation and can also lead to clogging of the filtration device. At pH values < 6,8, increased corrosion of metal parts of the whirlpool, colour fading of the materials of which the whirlpool is made and eye and skin irritation may occur. To increase the pH value by 0.2, add about 10 g of product per 1 m3 (1 000 l) of water (a higher dose is usually needed for soft water). The calculated amount of the product is thoroughly dissolved in the water in a plastic jug and slowly poured into the whirlpool at the water inlet with the filtering device switched on. Measurement of the pH value (with a suitable tester) must be carried out after the water in the whirlpool has been thoroughly mixed (the mixing depends on the volume of water and the performance of the filtering device). Repeat the procedure until the pH value is within the desired range. The presence of persons in the whirlpool must be avoided until the product has been thoroughly mixed by the filtration device and the pH has been adjusted to the desired value! Do not mix with other products!

A 100 g product is approximately a 150 ml measuring cup.
